Our History

15 years ago, Cement Irrigation Gate Company was born. We started by making cement irrigation gates. We wanted to share some of our history with you because we are proud of the products we make and how many people have been able to use them over the years.

We started with a concrete form, and once we had that perfected, we transitioned to lightweight, high-strength HDPE plastic that only weighs 20lbs. Owner and designer Alma Ramsey has built each one of these concrete gates, and many hundreds have been deployed over the years from central Texas to all over New Mexico.

Cement Irrigation Gate Company has since been rebranded as Ditch Gates. We are the same friendly, female-run, family-owned business servicing customers across Texas & New Mexico.

Our grandfather always said, “Ditches are like snowflakes; no two are alike.” After three generations of farming and flood irrigation, we continue to live by his words and produce quality products where no two are the same.

Our production process has also remained unchanged. All our gates and gate components are designed, manufactured, packaged, and shipped from within the USA.
